Sam Stout finally lived up to his “Hands of Stone” nickname, earning his first knockout in five years by taking out Yves Edwards in a lightweight fight at UFC 131.

What was the high spot of this fight?
The knockout. Wow, did Yves ever go down hard. Stout caught him with a perfect shot on the chin and Edwards fell straight back, smashing his head against the canvas on the way down. Stout was loaded up with a Henderson-on-Bisping follow-up shot, but thought the better of it and put his hands up in celebration instead.

Where do these guys go from here?
Sam Stout has been around the UFC for a long time, and picked up yet another bonus check for this knockout. He has now won 4 out of his last 5 fights, but isn’t likely to be a contender any time soon. A bout with another veteran like Gleison Tibau would see who’s a little higher in the pecking order.

Thugjitsu will live to fight another day in the UFC. Edwards is now 2-1 in this stint, but his style and his status as a fan-favorite will almost certainly earn him another challenge. A battle with Kyle Watson seems somewhat logical right now.

Watch it now, later, or never?
Now. Dana White described it as one of the best knockouts he’s ever seen, and it’s hard to argue with him.
